What we believe.

Why Anglicanism at such a time in the history of the church?

In its modern day expression, Anglicanism can be seen as three distinct streams, the Evangelical, the Charismatic and the Anglo-Catholic, coming together to form one river:

  • 1.
We are Evangelical. We are Evangelical in mission, committed to both, the primacy of scripture and the great commission (2 Tim 3:16-17, Mt 28:19-20
  • 2.
    We are Charismatic.
    • We are Charismatic in our worship and service unto God and His people, in that the Holy Spirit was sent to empower the church to be Christ' witness to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8, Jn 14:26)
  • 3.
    We are Anglican.
    • We are Anglican in that we are committed to the sacraments of Holy Communion and Baptism, and to the historical faith of the church, 'holding firm to the traditions' taught by the Apostles and handed down by the great cloud of witnesses (2 Thess 2:15, Heb 12:1)
